Baptist Youth Fellowship (BYF) Aka “Senior Bible Youth Fellowship”
Purpose/Vision:
Our vision is to inspire youth to become lifetime disciples of Christ. We strive not to entertain, but to have students entertain a real, personal, and growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and King!
Overview/Strategy:
We aim to focus on five main areas with our youth group: Fellowship, Worship, Discipleship, Evangelism and Ministry. Moreover we believe that when students are given opportunities to personally experience these purposes, they can learn to apply these Biblical truths to practical living.
Fellowship: Through weekly meetings, we attempt to develop a place where youth are welcomed, known, loved, and encouraged in their spiritual journey.
Worship: In addition to encouraging students to honor God with their lives, which is a spiritual act of worship, we also encourage them to plug in to a local body of believers where worship/love for God can be expressed through singing, praising, praying, hearing God’s word, baptizing, breaking bread, and giving.
Discipleship: Through consistent reading of God’s Word, prayer, and guidance from the Holy Spirit, youth are encouraged to grow in a relationship with God and therefore, become more Christ-like as they grow in their faith and produce “spiritual fruit.”
Evangelism: As Christians, we believe that sharing Jesus with others is our responsibility and our privilege. As leaders, we believe we must model a passionate faith as a life-style and desire to build relationships with others in which we might share the saving grace of Jesus! Students are given many opportunities though-out the year to get “outta the box” to help develop confidence in sharing their stories with others who may not know Christ.
Ministry: We encourage students to be the hands and feet of Christ and “minister” God’s love to those around them through various service opportunities, ultimately becoming Kingdom-builders!

Sunday School: 9:30 am – 10:15 am @ Cohansey Baptist Church
Morning Church Service: 10:30 am – 12:00 pm @ Cohansey Baptist Church
Sunday Evenings: 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm @ Cohansey Baptist Church
