Every so often a message comes across to us that describes a better plan for our lives. Someone tells “the story” or reads some scripture, lends a hand, or prays. That is what missionaries do.
We are all called to be missionaries when we become Christians. That does not mean we all have to go to foreign places or into prisons. It means God calls us all to be involved in the work of the gospel. The goal of the mission committee is to encourage the congregation to participate in any type of mission work, whether it is here in our own community or in a foreign land. The home is the first mission field. We are concerned with bringing our children up in a Christian environment. It is important they learn who God is and can bring that knowledge with them wherever they go. The church provides opportunities for members of all ages to fit into mission work of some kind. It is our hope that you will be inspired to use your talents and energies to bring God’s love to so many in need of it.
We welcome new committee members interested in communicating with our ABC Missionaries and facilitating the education of our congregation about mission experiences. Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month at 6:30PM.
There are various tasks needing your special talent and generosity. Thank you for all that has been done and all that is going to be done.
